2 ripe avocados
1 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp balsamic
1-2 pitted medjool dates (depending on how sweet you like it)
½ cup cashews, soaked overnight
½ cup cashew milk
3 tbsp raw cacao powder
2 scoops Bodylogix® Vegan Protein Chocolate
Optional: Fresh berries, coconut chips, cacao nibs or granola to garnish
1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend using a tamper until fully combined.
2. Place in a glass sealable container with no “air space” and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Pro chef tip: Don’t skip the tamari and balsamic in this recipe. They may seem out of place but in fact they work to create a more balanced chocolate flavour. They do this by adding the cooking component of salt and acid which balances out the dark richness of the chocolate and fat from avocado. Skipping these ingredients may lead to a more bland or over powering tasting chocolate mouse.
