Team Sports Nutrition
Bodylogix® ambassador, Blair Solberger is a registered dietician with a master’s degree in Sports Nutrition from Florida State University who works with an array of patients from professional athletes to adults working towards weight loss goals and everything in between. Currently, Blair holds the position of Team Sports Nutritionist for the Miami Dolphins. His mission is to help people meet their nutrition goals, whether those goals are in the form of weight loss, enhanced performance, improved health, or beyond. Blair believes that nutrition is far more than knowing what to eat, but is a mix of education, science, emotion, and mentality.
Favourite Way to Sweat
Blair loves to mix up his workouts, but his favourite is resistance or circuit training. Typically, Blair will weight train 4-5 days a week with some jump rope thrown in. In addition, Blair bikes 100 miles a week and plays some recreational sports. Blair tries to keep his workouts well-rounded and interesting.
Favourite Way to Recover Post-Workout
Blair’s recovery routine is dependent on the workout performed. A tough, energy-demanding metabolic circuit is usually met with a few minutes of heavy breathing, followed by cryotherapy to limit inflammation and a high protein smoothie. After a heavy weightlifting session, Blair will sit in the sauna to encourage heat shock proteins and some muscle synthesis and follow that with a bowl of Greek yogurt and a scoop of Bodylogix® Natural Whey Protein, 2 cups of fruit, and a handful of walnuts.
Blair considers his greatest accomplishment to be losing over 100 lbs. after finishing high school. Not only did it change his health and life, but it also led him down the path to his current career.
